Death and Devotion at the Getty
New exhibition showcases visions of dying and eternity in the Middle Ages
The images posted below are not from the exhibition- click on the above link for images from the exhibit, in particular Denise Poncher Before Death, by the Master of the Chronique Scandaleuse, circa 1500. It's a recent Getty purchase that hasn't been shown yet by the museum.
