The Medieval Scriptorium, an exhibition for young people opening November 24 and running through February 28, 2010, will bring to life the world of ancient scriptoria and the medieval technology of manuscript production.
Beginning this week,
Out of Bounds,(September 1st to November 8) offers an intimate glimpse into the often irreverent and playful imagery contained in the margins of medieval manuscripts.
Migrations of the Mind: Manuscripts from the Lawrence J. Schoenberg Collection
(November 17, 2009–April 18 , 2010) collection of early scientific and alchemical manuscripts, maps and diagrams showcasing the exchange of cross cultural ideas and influences occurring in the early modern period.
